Position Summary
Plan, lay‑out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties- Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; welds supports; installs cable and duct banks; makes terminations.
- Installs control and distribution apparatus and fastens them in place.
- Tests and starts up systems and verifies circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Might be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
- Works with high and low voltage systems.
- Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
- Operates electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
- Estimates sizes, distances, and quantities; or determines time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Inspects subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans and specifications, points out deficiencies, and takes corrective action as needed.
- Must possess strong working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
- Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement tools.
- Constantly moves about a construction/industrial site, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
- Works constantly in a construction environment and is exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Works irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
- Might be required to use ladders, mechanical platforms, rig lifts, or scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), and must climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Moves and works in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.
- May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial sites.
- Must have required tools.
- May require a U.S. driver’s license.
- Observes and complies with all safety and project rules, performing other duties as required.
- Ability to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol testing, fit‑for‑duty medical, and background check.
