Join a dedicated team in Abilene, TX as a Critical Systems Technician I, HVAC, supporting the essential operations of a data center environment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in HVAC and critical systems, working under the guidance of experienced technicians. The position offers hands‑on experience with a variety of HVAC equipment and systems, providing opportunities for skill development and professional growth in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior technicians in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of data center HVAC systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment such as chillers, boilers, heaters, cooling towers, air distribution systems, and water pumps under direct supervision.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean, efficient, and first‑class operating condition in accordance with industry standards, codes, and laws.
  • Support routine and emergency maintenance activities as directed.
  • Strive for continual improvement of technical skills through hands‑on experience and trade literature.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and excel in the HVAC industry.
  • Participate in after‑hours assignments as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HVAC service experience required; 2 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration principles.
  • Working knowledge of basic electricity as it applies to HVAC systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
