We are seeking experienced Fiber Drop Technicians for residential fiber installation projects. This is a travel-based field role that requires prior telecom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install underground fiber drops from network access points to residential homes.
- Conduct residential installations, including ONT setup, router configuration, and service activation.
- Test and troubleshoot fiber connections to guarantee service quality.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Travel nationwide to project locations.
- Perform hands-on installation work in the field.
Training &
Work Location:
- Paid training in Colorado Springs, CO, tailored to experience at $20/hr.
- Initial assignment in rural Louisiana or other similar locations.
- Post-training deployment to fiber projects across the U.S.
- This is a travel-based role, with a schedule of 21 days on duty followed by 7 days off.
Qualifications:
- Previous telecom experience is required (fiber installation, drop work, or I&R experience).
- Experience with burial drops is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
- Must be comfortable with physically demanding work outdoors in all conditions.
- Willing to undertake extensive travel and work overtime/weekends.
- Must pass a drug and alcohol screening.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Paid weekly.
- W2 employment with competitive benefits.
- Performance-based pay averaging $5K+ per week for high performers.
