Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitters to install, assemble, and test fire sprinkler systems using engineering and architectural plans. This role involves hands-on pipe fitting work, system inspections, and ensuring all installations meet safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, follows safety protocols, and contributes to delivering reliable fire protection systems.
Job Description
- Read and interpret engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to specifications
- Select and prepare pipe, fittings, supports, hangers, and related materials
- Cut, fit, and connect piping using threaded, soldered, brazed, and grooved methods
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect, test, and verify installed systems using pressure gauges or other methods
- Install hydraulic components such as pumps
- Complete required reports, including time, progress, materials, subcontractor work, and other job-related documentation
- Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and tasks associated with pipe fitting
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members
- Safe and efficient operation of hand tools, power tools, and layout tools
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position
- Willingness to climb and work at heights (up to 200 ft) or in confined spaces
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on workload
- Commitment to all safety policies and procedures
