The Opportunity

Driven Security is looking for a dedicated Security Technician to join our team in Abilene. We are on a mission to provide top-notch, reliable security solutions that protect our clients' properties, assets, and people. In this role, you won't be stuck behind a desk; you will be out in the field installing, maintaining, and repairing cutting-edge alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be the face of Driven Security in the field, ensuring our systems are installed flawlessly and our clients feel safe and supported:

• Installation & Setup: Install, program, and configure a variety of security systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras (CCTV), access control systems, and intercoms.
• Diagnostics & Repair: Expertly troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing security systems, performing the necessary repairs or technical adjustments.
• Site Surveys & Consulting: Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess clients' unique security needs and recommend the appropriate hardware solutions.
• Client Support: Provide friendly, professional technical support and hands-on training to clients so they know exactly how to operate and maintain their new systems.
• Administration & Teamwork: Accurately document all work performed (equipment installed, repairs made, service calls completed) and collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in security system installation and maintenance OR a strong background in similar construction/electrical trades.
• Technical Aptitude: Strong technical skills, proficiency with hand/power tools, and a solid understanding of security system protocols and standards.
• Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting abilities-you don't quit until you figure out why a system isn't working.
• Soft Skills: Great communication and customer service skills. You must be able to work highly independently but also act as a reliable team player.
• The Basics: A High School diploma (or equivalent), a valid Driver's License, and reliable transportation.
