JOB DESCRIPTION
An Equipment Installer II is responsible for leading quality installations of equipment in Data Center/Construction environments as specified in engineering instructions and drawings and in accordance with customer standards. This is a field-based position, requiring regional and occasional national travel.
Responsibilities- Install equipment in Data Center/Construction environments
- On-site analysis of job drawings, specifications and MOPs
- Ensure quality installations by conforming to all applicable standards
- Perform all work with safety as the top priority, following company and customer mandated procedures and using proper PPE
- Maintain professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service
- Use computer for data entry/administrative tasks
- Lead team of installers in all above tasks
- Participate in project meetings
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Generate daily job logs/reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of equipment installation experience in Data Center/Construction environments or equivalent technical training
- Strong verbal, written and customer-facing skills
- Basic computer skills to include MS Office or equivalent
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore
- Advanced knowledge and skills with power/hand tools
- Ability to adjust to fluctuating work schedules
- Ability to pass background, drug, and motor vehicle screening
- OSHA
10 required, OSHA
30 preferred - Fall protection preferred
- Manlift/Forklift certification preferred
- Medium lifting (30–45 lbs)
- Heavy lifting (over 50 lbs)
- Frequent standing, kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, twisting, climbing stairs/ladders
- Frequent driving (car, van, truck)
- Noise level medium/high; must be able to shout to be heard
- Work around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors)
- Protective equipment required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.)
80% travel required.
