Job SummaryResponsible for reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required. Identify all tools required for tasks and identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using tools such as rules, conduit benders, Chicago Benders, and dual trigger bandsaws.
- Build closets (mount and install backboards) and install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, E.M.T., plastic-bond, and PVC conduit.
- Use mechanical benders; operate hydraulic benders 1 1/2” - 4”; fabricate and install conduit supports.
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
- Assume responsibility for effective performance of crew, providing necessary training, coordinating personnel and timelines to complete projects.
- Fully complete all IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
- Adhere to and participate in all company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
USD $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Qualifications- Self‑motivated, positive, professional, and capable of developing and implementing project process improvements.
- Accustomed to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.
- Promotes company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- Acts as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
- Possesses proven problem‑solving, critical thinking, and effective communication (written, oral, presentation) skills.
- Able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lb and move up to 75 lb.
- Able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Regular attendance is mandatory.

- Screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight and gloves.
- Minimum:
High School diploma or GED equivalency. - Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an electrician or related technical field with the ability to supervise others.
- Proficient with the listed tools.
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
- Knowledge of universal communications color codes.
- Meets company minimum driving standards.
