Salary Range: 55,000.00 To 60,000.00 Annually

SDMyers is hiring Field Inspection Technicians to inspect energized transformers and collect oil samples that are shipped to our lab in Northeast Ohio. This is a field role based in Abilene, TX with weekly travel. You will be fully trained through our paid, 8-week training program.

• Inspect energized transformers
• Collect oil samples and ensure proper handling for shipment to the lab
• Represent SDMyers in a professional manner while on assignment
• Complete required safety training and adhere to all safety standards

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred
• Ability to travel weekly (Monday–Friday), home on weekends
• Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen
• Independence, integrity, and initiative—this is a solo field role

• You’ll work outdoors in various environments and weather conditions
• Extensive driving in a company vehicle; occasional air travel
• You’ll work around live electrical equipment; complete safety training, uniforms, PPE, and equipment are provided
• Weekly travel:
  Monday return Friday; home on weekends
• Must be able to pass hair follicle drug test and background check
