POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Level III Technician to provide advanced support on data center projects within the ADB Technology group. This role will lead the installation of servers and networking equipment in a fast-paced data center environment. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, customer and quality-centric, committed to safety and team well-being, with a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

- Offer advanced support on Data Center, ISP and OSP projects in a variety of customer facilities nationwide, determining equipment needs, cable route, safety practices, and performing splicing functions within live customer facilities
- Inventory and install IT hardware such as backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures
- Maintain proper inventory of equipment and consumables to ensure timely project completion
- Use various hand tools to complete splices (e.g., diagonal cutters, razor blades, ribbon splitters)
- Read and interpret complex construction prints, splice matrices, and drawings to meet customer requirements
- Perform OTDR and power meter testing with understanding of fiber specifications for customer test data reporting
- Maintain and troubleshoot splicing/testing equipment; read results and solve issues
- Install and terminate complex fiber and copper cabling including aerial, underground, ISP cabling, and cable terminations
- Label installed equipment and cables using cable color codes and numbering systems
- Install and remove non-powered cables and equipment; install cable pathways and ground/bond IT equipment
- Relocate cables and perform hot cuts while maintaining organization
- Research installation procedures for splicing enclosures as needed
- Meet production expectations and uphold cleanliness and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; respond promptly to outages with customer-centric solutions
- Collaborate with DC power technicians to terminate and connect secondary DC power installations
- Create Smart Sheets and Excel trackers to monitor project schedules and progress
- Identify and escalate project and personnel issues to leadership when appropriate
- Lead and train other crew members; promote safety, quality, production, and conduct expectations
- Act as an ADB Culture Champion at culture pillar events
- Suggest and implement process improvements across ADB’s Data Center group
- Maintain awareness of safety risks and adhere to all safety requirements
- Perform other duties as requested

- Physically engage in varied positions (sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing)
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels on site
- Wear safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots while on site
- 3-7+ years of cable installation and/or splicing experience required
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (ability to obtain upon hire)
- OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
- Bucket truck, CPR, and related certifications preferred (ability to obtain upon hire)
- DOT medical card required
- Valid driver license with clean driving record required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
The starting pay for this position is $34/hr and may vary based on the candidate s skills, experience, and qualifications.
