About the Opportunity
Insight Global’s client is seeking motivated, entry-level candidates who are eager to break into the rapidly growing data center industry. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, controls, or other critical facility environments who are looking to build a long-term career in mission-critical operations.
You will be trained to support a large-scale, high-availability data center, playing a key role in maintaining uptime and ensuring operational excellence. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to advanced infrastructure systems in a 24/7 environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with operation and maintenance of critical facility systems including HVAC, cooling, and electrical infrastructure
- Support monitoring of equipment such as chillers, generators, UPS systems, and switch gear
- Respond to system alerts and alarms with guidance from senior technicians
- Perform routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance tasks
- Update and manage work orders within a CMMS system
- Collaborate with experienced technicians and vendors to ensure smooth operations
- Learn and follow standardized procedures for incident response and escalation
What We’re Looking For
- Entry-level candidates with 0–3 years of relevant experience or technical training
- Background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, controls, or similar hands-on environments
- Experience in industries such as manufacturing, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or utilities is highly transferable
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, critical operations environment
- Ability to work in a 24/7 facility (day shift to start, flexibility for nights in the future)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to critical environments such as hospitals, data centers, or large industrial facilities
- Basic understanding of power or cooling systems
