Job Overview: As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects and teams to ensure the successful completion of electrical installations and maintenance. Your primary role will be to coordinate and supervise the work of electricians and other electrical staff, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
The Electrical Foreman reports to the Electrical General Foreman and/or Project Manager.
Position is available in Abilene, Texas
Compensation: $45/hour
Project Incentive Pay:
This project offers a $10.00 / hour incentive paid on top of the base hourly rate for all hours worked on the project.
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 10 hours per day (5/10 schedule).
Per Diem: For eligible travelers, a per diem of $178 per day worked is available. Restrictions apply.
Job Functions:
- Direct and supervise the work of electricians and electrical teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure all electrical work meets quality standards and complies with relevant codes, regulations, and project specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues and problems that arise during projects. Provide technical expertise and solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and address any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, work performed, and any issues encountered. Prepare and submit reports as required.
- Provide training and mentorship to electrical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical supervision, preferably in construction or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Great leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Computer savvy.
