Field Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for office technology and document equipment at customer locations. This position is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, resolving technical issues efficiently, and delivering a high level of customer service.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience servicing printers, copiers, multifunction devices, or similar office equipment and be comfortable traveling to customer sites throughout the assigned territory.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair office equipment at customer locations.
• Respond to service calls promptly and work to maximize equipment uptime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
• Provide basic customer training on equipment operation and best practices.
• Accurately document service calls, repairs, parts usage, and meter readings.
• Manage service parts, tools, and company resources efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with customers, service teams, sales, and management.
• Identify customer needs and communicate potential equipment or service opportunities to the appropriate team.
• Complete required administrative documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years of field service, printer/copier repair, or related technical experience preferred.
• Manufacturer training or certifications on office equipment are a plus.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems independently in a field environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations.

• Ability to drive to customer locations throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as needed.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds on occasion.
• Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
