Education:
Required – High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a Health and Human Services related field.
Experience:
Required – With a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 years related direct service experience. Preferred:
Bachelor's degree will substitute for experience.
Summary:
The Parent Educator is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population especially in crisis situations while maintaining compliance with established program standards.

Measurable Deliverables:
1. Obtains and maintains certification in 24/7 Dad curriculum administration.
2. Enroll and serve parents in group classes.
3. Conduct an average of three 12-week group parenting courses each month.
4. Promote healthy outcomes for fathers and their families.
5. Document all attendance on a weekly basis, and no less than monthly.
6. Administer registration, assessments, and client surveys to all participants.
7. Attend all required training courses.
8. Maintain current participant records on weekly basis in PEIRS and Salesforce.
9. Provide monthly community education on child abuse prevention strategies.
Credentials,
Skills and Abilities:
1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:
First Aid CPR Other
2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
3. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years) 5. Demonstrate the ability to: a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics. b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English. c. Work in a fast-paced environment. d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
