** Active---## Job Overview The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an Initial Resettlement Caseworker for its office in Abilene, Texas. This is a full-time, in-person position. Compensation is $23.49 per hour.

The Caseworker provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and the achievement of client self-sufficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating pre- and post-arrival services including airport pickup, housing, food, and medical care access, conducting intake assessments and developing individualized self-sufficiency plans and SMART goals, providing direct financial assistance, public benefits applications, and referrals to medical and mental health services, assessing and monitoring client progress, documenting all interactions in the ETO database, collaborating with partner organizations and service providers, and using a personal vehicle to transport clients and materials as needed.

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred
* Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in human services strongly preferred
* Experience working with refugee and immigrant populations strongly preferred
* Valid driver’s license and access to a personal insured vehicle required
* Fluency in English required; proficiency in Dari, Farsi, and/or Pashto desired
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems including IRIS and ETOUS benefits include 10 sick days, 10 holidays, 20 to 25 days paid time off, medical insurance from $163 per month, dental from $6.50 per month, vision from $5 per month, FSA, 403b with immediate vesting, and an Employee Assistance Program.
