Support Services Coordinator
Goal:
Provide quality and effective support services to the Center for Young Learners.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent educational experience, with academic major or concentration in early childhood, or High school diploma or GED and 5 years of relevant experience in early childhood programs. Entry: 0-9 years of relevant experience Mid-level: 10-19 years of relevant experience Expert: 20+ years of relevant experience Detail-oriented with a basic understanding of school or ESC procedures
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Program Planning/Organizational Skills
- Manages Policy Council promotion and Director's Report
- Manage the CYL website along with all media, advertising, and promotional materials for the component
- Assist with Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, and Attendance (ERSEA) Applications
- Respond to internal program inquiries and support
- Fiscal Management
- Utilize cost-effective methods to reach identified objectives
- Communications Skills
- Demonstrates good communication techniques with staff members
- Demonstrates cooperation, consideration, and professional courtesy with clients and staff members. Maintains job-related confidentiality.
- Technical Assistance
- Demonstrate accessibility by responding to program inquiries and following up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participates in training, planning and other ESC meetings to meet program goals
- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
- Human Relations
- Demonstrates professional courtesy during personal interaction with LEA and ESC staff
- Display an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings
- Demonstrate willingness to collaborate with other staff members
- Specialized Knowledge
- Seek training with professionals and provide up-to-date information about ERSEA, Head Start Performance Standards, and Head Start Act.
- Personal and Professional Image
- Maintain self control and good working relationships with other staff; exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation, and professional appearance while representing the ESC in any capacity
- Adhere to work schedules and attendance policies
- Arrives at work and other scheduled events on time

- Tools/Equipment Used:
Standard office equipment, including personal computer and peripherals - Posture:
Prolonged sitting; frequent standing; occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting - Motion:
Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; frequent driving - Lifting:
Occasional moderate lifting and carrying (less than 25 pounds) - Environment:
