CDL Water Truck Driver

Overview

FNF Construction is hiring a CDL Water Truck Driver for an onsite role in Abilene, TX.

• Haul water in tanker trucks that hold up to 5,000 gallons.
• Perform dust control on construction job sites and assist heavy equipment operators during excavation and earthwork operations.
• Use the auxiliary pump and fire hose on the truck to create backfill material and to wash down heavy equipment as required.

• Requires basic understanding of mass excavation means and methods, soils testing, and safe operation of water trucks off-road and on-road.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Clean CDL license record.
• Current medical card.
• Current/active Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with tank endorsement.
• 2 years of experience safely operating a commercial vehicle with a minimum tank size of 2000 gallons.
• Acceptable 5-year driving history and PSP report.
• All construction field positions within the company are considered safety sensitive.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen required.
• The work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
• The work environment may include high levels of noise and dust associated with road construction projects.
• Workaround operational heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Potential exposure to materials such as oil, grease, gasoline, and diesel fuel.
• Ability to climb on and off equipment safely and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Must maintain constant awareness of activities of nearby employees and equipment; work may be performed near the traveling public.
• Safety Sensitive Position.
