Overview
Shuttle Driver role responsible for transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. Operates in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Collaborates with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure timely and accurate service.
Compensation- Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 annually
- Performance incentive: $450 per quarter with a $200 kicker; if all four quarters are earned, $2,000
- Sign-on bonus: $5,000 (Terms Apply - individuals who have worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last 6 months are not eligible)

Hours:
Sunday–Friday, 1–3 trips, dispatching between 2:30 PM and 12:00 AM depending on load - Training: 2 weeks in Temple, TX
As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. Drive tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes. Ensure safe and timely operation per DOT regulations. Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Perform duties to best serve the company.
Responsibilities- Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations; ensure compliance with company safety standards
- Report safety issues and required repairs
- Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving policies; promptly report safety hazards
- Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing of freight
- Ensure route paperwork is with the tractor-trailer load and available on dispatch
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedules
- Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
- Lock and secure all equipment and freight
- Handle damaged goods and customer returns in the trailer and complete necessary paperwork
- Unload equipment and remove trash from trailers as required
- Complete daily hours-of-service record and log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- Maintain general housekeeping in tractor and loading dock areas; keep trailers clear and clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 6–12 months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for past 3 years
- Ability to work third shift;
Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules may vary) - Pass pre-employment drug test and road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one
- Ability to lift up to 60–90 pounds and use equipment to move freight
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually
