Job Description
Domino’s Delivery Drivers provide excellent customer service while transporting customers' orders in a safe, timely manner. Drivers assemble, load, transport, and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and road safety. Drivers are polite and prompt with a commitment to an impressive customer experience. Candidates must be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work and road safety, and passionate about satisfying clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Arrive to work on time, in complete uniform with a clean vehicle and a full tank of gas.
- Must wear a lit car top at all times during delivery.
- Assemble all items in order, ensuring all extras such as dipping cups and sodas are included.
- Route orders to yourself in the Pulse routing program within 1 minute of leaving the store.
- Hustle safely to and from the store to the vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer’s door.
- Transport hot items in a heat bag and cold items in a plastic T‑bag.
- Load all assigned items in a clean and safe vehicle approved for delivery with Domino’s.
- Drive safely to and from all assigned deliveries, obeying all traffic laws.
- Do not make additional stops unless specific permission is granted.
- Collect money from customers and provide correct change.
- Collect signature for credit card and debit card transactions.
- Keep track of cash and receipts, ensuring it balances at the end of the shift.
- Use a drop box to keep cash in the bank bag under $20; no money should be kept in the vehicle.
- Listen to and resolve customer complaints, suggestions, and inquiries.
- Keep the driver area stocked, organized, neat and clean.
- Assist in keeping box hutch and other box‑staging areas clean and stocked.
- At close, check that the dining area is clean and stocked.
- Ensure heat bags are clean and free of rips and tears.
- Sweep floor regularly and mop when needed; mopping every night is required.
- Wash dishes when no dishwasher is on shift.
- Help cook food and otherwise work in the kitchen when necessary and only as backup.
- Assist from time to time with taking phone, counter, or window orders.
- General store cleaning.
- Own reliable transportation that is kept clean and free of debris.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow a map.
- Pass a Criminal Background check and a Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Texas Certified Food Handler Certificate required.
- Ability to understand and work with numbers.
- Follow directions and achieve goals.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Follow a schedule, be on time, wear proper uniform, and work swiftly with efficient hustle.
- Communicate effectively to a variety of clientele.
A high school diploma or equivalent degree is a plus but not required. Candidates do not need prior experience, as training is provided on the job to learn employer‑specific functions such as operating the computer system and the Domino’s routing system. Two years of driving experience are required for anyone aged 18, and one year for those aged 19+. Customer service experience helps but is not required.
WorkEnvironment
A Domino’s Delivery Driver serves a large volume of people over every shift and drives many miles. Standing and moving on your feet for long periods is expected, which may contribute to back strain and foot problems. Frequent hand sanitization is required. The restaurant environment is warm, bustling, and noisy, with triple‑stack conveyor‑belt ovens, warming shelves, and carts on wheels that can lead to injury.
