Perform onsite Material care, custody and control functions in support of construction field activities

Entry

• Carry out day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving of products and materials, issuing tools, documentation and inventory control.
• Select and prepare daily shipments which may include pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers.
• Palletize and wrap skids and deliver completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliver to disciplines.
• Assist in loading trucks as necessary and unload received items from trailers.
• Examine and inspect items for damage and defects; identify incorrect/short shipped items.
• Pack, unpack, and mark stock items, using identification labels and stickers.
• Perform onsite warehouse inventories, maintenance and restocking, fill backorders and product bins.
• May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shorts.
• Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time.
• May operate forklift and other equipment – stand-up lift, sit-down lift, propane, scissor, etc.

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools.
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
