Delivery Driver

Job Purpose

As a vital part of our team, the Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and removal of containers to both residential and commercial customers. This role requires the efficient operation of company vehicles, maintaining safety standards, and delivery of excellent customer service.

• Perform complete pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Report any mechanical or safety issues to management to ensure reliability and safety.
• Safely operate a truck along a designated route to delivery areas. Follow maps and route sheets to ensure timely and accurate service to all customers.
• Operate manual and automatic controls in accordance with company safety policies to lift and load containers at the CWS facility.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely manner.
• Perform minor repairs to containers on site or in the container yard.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
• Must successfully pass a drug screening and background check prior to employment.
• Must have a clean driving record.

• 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• Some shifts may require extended hours based on operational needs.

The Delivery Driver may work in various conditions and can be exposed to extreme heat, cold, humidity, precipitation, dusty conditions, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, hazardous chemicals, and noxious fumes and odors in both indoor and outdoor environments.
