Responsibilities
- Drive tractor/trailer (RGN) combination with up to 8 axles, lift axles, flip axles, and a spreader bar.
- Drive delivery trucks and towing triple axles, liftable axles, flip axles with or without a spreader bar, and towable construction equipment safely in high‑traffic or congested city zones and in small areas.
- Haul oversized machines up to 95,000 pounds.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secured according to FMCSA and Warren CAT requirements.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and report deficiencies via the driver‑vehicle inspection report.
- Operate all construction equipment required for the job.
- Receive dispatches, load and secure equipment, transport equipment, and report the status of all loads through the company technology devices.
- Maintain an electronic log in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate with a supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding customers and store operations.
- Work with customers and vendors, following directions as required.
- High school diploma or GED; one‑year certificate from college or technical school; three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Class A CDL driver’s license, DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card), and a clear driving record.
- Ability to work effectively with tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in making accurate independent decisions, performing duties, and making judgments in a timely manner.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to pass a work‑related pre‑employment physical examination.
- Successful completion of the Work Steps assessment.
