Job Description
- Pay: $60,000 to $70,000 annually
- Performance incentive – $450 per quarter with a $200 kicker. If all four quarters are earned, total incentive is $2,000.

Hours:
Sunday through Friday, 1–3 trips per day, dispatch between 2:30 pm and midnight depending on load. - 2 weeks of training in Temple, TX.
- $5,000 sign‑on bonus, Terms Apply – any person who has worked for a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last six months is not eligible.

As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role by transporting empty trailers to operating company warehouse locations and turning around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive a tandem trailer or tractor‑trailer and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to transport empty trailers to the operating company warehouse locations, and then deliver full trailers with various products in a safe and timely manner per DOT regulations.
You will communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and promptly. You will function as a team member within the department and organization, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Perform all required safety checks (pre‑ and post‑trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations, ensuring they meet company safety standards and taking appropriate action as needed.
- Report all safety issues and repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines and policies, reporting all safety hazards immediately.
- Inspect trailer for proper loading and secured freight.
- Ensure all required route paperwork is with the tractor‑trailer load and available to the driver upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
Perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines. - Parks and stores tractor‑trailers in designated areas.
- Ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or always secured.
- Collect damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer, bring back to driver check‑in at base facility, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log per Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 6–12 months of commercial driving experience required.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years.
- Work required on 3rd shift schedule, Sunday through Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
- Pass pre‑employment drug test.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure a new DOT Health Card.
- Ability to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds.
$60,000–$70,000 annually.
