• Performance Incentive - $600/Quarter with $400 kicker. If all four quarters are earned $2,800

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers.

The CDL‑A driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over‑the‑road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive‑and‑drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). They communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

They function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

• Perform all required safety check (i.e., pre‑/post‑trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed. Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Check and complete in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight. Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Ensure that tractor, trailer and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times. Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check‑in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at end of shift. Unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Comply with daily record‑keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.
• Uphold overall safety standards and follow guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Required
• 1 Year commercial driving experience
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet PFG Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requirements for past 3 years
• Pass pre‑employment drug test
• Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse Requirements
• Pass road test
• Able to secure new DOT Medical Card
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule required for the position
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• English language proficiency is required
