Experienced Class A Delivery Driver

Position Purpose

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). The driver communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

The driver functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

• Annual salary: $80,000 - $100,000.
• Performance incentive: $600 per quarter + $400 kicker; $2,800 total if all four quarters earned.
• Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (terms apply; ineligible if you worked for a PFG‑owned company within the last 6 months).
• Schedule:
  
  4‑5 day week; must be available Monday‑Saturday.
• Mandatory 2 weeks of training in Temple, TX.

• Perform required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations; report safety issues.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper loading, secured freight, count items versus invoices, and complete paperwork accurately.
• Ensure tractor, trailer and freight are locked and secure at all times; unload damaged goods and returns, complete end‑shift paperwork.
• Comply with daily record‑keeping and hours of service; adhere to DOT, state and company policies.
• Uphold overall safety standards for freight handling through the delivery process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).

• 1 Year commercial driving experience.
• Current State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must meet PFG Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) requirements for the past 3 years.
• Pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Meet PFG FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
• Pass road test.
• Able to secure a new DOT medical card.
• Able to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment; freight can range from 60 to 90 pounds.
• Must be able to work the assigned schedule.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
