Warehouse Craftsman

Position Summary

Perform onsite material care, custody, and control functions in support of construction field activities. Carry out day-to-day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping and receiving products and materials, issuing tools, documentation, and inventory control.

Intermediate

• Selects and prepares daily shipments which may include pulling orders, packaging, and completing freight/invoice paperwork for freight carriers.
• Palletizes and wraps skids and delivers completed orders and packages to designated shipping area and/or deliveries to disciplines.
• Assists in loading trucks as necessary and unloads received items from trailers.
• Examines and inspects items for damage and defects; identifies incorrect/short shipped items.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items, using identification labels and stickers.
• Performs onsite warehouse inventories, maintenance, and restocking, fills backorders and product bins.
• May assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and document material shortages.
• Ensures all shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and on time.
• May operate forklift and other equipment – stand‑up lift, sit‑down lift, propane, scissor, etc.

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.

• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools.
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
