The Inventory Control Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Abilene, TX. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, and coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities. The Inventory Control Specialist will perform regular physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support warehouse operations to keep materials and equipment organized and readily available. The role includes updating inventory systems, preparing documentation, collaborating with operations and logistics teams, and following safety and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to maintain accurate stock levels and support efficient warehouse operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory to perform cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of stock discrepancies.
- Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving to process incoming and outgoing materials, verify documentation, and coordinate with carriers.
- Relevant skills include basic data entry and computer proficiency (e.g., inventory software, spreadsheets), along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include experience in industrial or warehouse environments, knowledge of safety practices, and the ability to lift and move materials as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certifications in logistics or supply chain are a plus.
