Oxfordshire County Council is seeking three Family Help Practitioners to support the Families First “test and learn” pilot in the South of the county. These agency roles will be based within the Family Help Teams in Didcot and Abingdon, supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families during this pilot period.
The RoleAs a Family Help Practitioner, you will provide timely, targeted support and interventions for vulnerable families, working collaboratively to address safeguarding concerns and reduce risks to children and young people. The role focuses on promoting positive outcomes and improving the welfare of families.
You will be part of the Family Help Team, within the Children’s Services – Family Solutions Service, and based at the Abingdon Children & Family Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver early help and targeted interventions to vulnerable children, young people, and families.
- Identify and address safeguarding concerns, working to reduce risk and promote child welfare.
- Work in partnership with families and multi‑agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate ketosis records and contribute to assessments, plans, and reviews.
