Kiddie Academy of Abingdon, the corporately owned Academy, has a rewarding opportunity for a patient, flexible, and nurturing person to join our team as a Full Time or Part Time Lead Teacher in our infant classroom. You’ll enjoy being part of a passionate and collaborative culture in an environment that has enhanced health and safety protocols.

• Planning and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum.
• Providing general classroom supervision, which includes personal care, hygiene and positive guidance for the children.
• Preparing materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in active play.
• For infants, using the New Beginnings program within Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials Curriculum, to reinforce individuality, and support development within a loving, nurturing environment.
• For toddlers, using the Discovering Me program within Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials Curriculum as a guide through sensory based learning experience.

• 1-year minimum early childhood education work experience.
• 45 Hour Infant Toddler Certification required; 90 Hour Preschool Certification preferred in addition.
• Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state of Maryland and local regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high and pass a medical exam/physical.
