Process Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform semiconductor wafer processing and characterisation activities in the cleanroom.
• Set‑up, operate and monitor semiconductor equipment, while recording data from the equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and respond accordingly to maintain process consistency and prevent process deviations from the expected performance.
• Collaborate with R&D and process engineers to develop semiconductor processes in the cleanroom.
• Liaise with equipment engineers as well as tool vendors for equipment maintenance.
• Maintain and track inventory of lab consumables.
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and Environmental Health and Safety regulations.

• Completed BTEC‑Higher National Certificate (HNC) equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year semiconductor cleanroom experience.

• Completed BTEC‑Higher National Diploma (HND).
• 2+ years of experience in semiconductor R&D or high‑volume manufacturing.
• Familiarity with semiconductor wafer testing and data analysis techniques.

• Proven hands‑on experience in operating semiconductor equipment and running semiconductor processes (wet and dry processes) in a semiconductor R&D and/or production cleanroom environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks and workload.
• Ability to collaborate with R&D and process engineers and to work independently.
• Attention to detail required for processing semiconductor wafers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and address processing challenges.
