Responsibilities
- Perform semiconductor wafer processing and characterisation activities in the cleanroom.
- Set‑up, operate and monitor semiconductor equipment, while recording data from the equipment.
- Monitor process parameters and respond accordingly to maintain process consistency and prevent process deviations from the expected performance.
- Collaborate with R&D and process engineers to develop semiconductor processes in the cleanroom.
- Liaise with equipment engineers as well as tool vendors for equipment maintenance.
- Maintain and track inventory of lab consumables.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
- Completed BTEC‑Higher National Certificate (HNC) equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year semiconductor cleanroom experience.
- Completed BTEC‑Higher National Diploma (HND).
- 2+ years of experience in semiconductor R&D or high‑volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with semiconductor wafer testing and data analysis techniques.
- Proven hands‑on experience in operating semiconductor equipment and running semiconductor processes (wet and dry processes) in a semiconductor R&D and/or production cleanroom environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks and workload.
- Ability to collaborate with R&D and process engineers and to work independently.
- Attention to detail required for processing semiconductor wafers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and address processing challenges.
