Job Summary:
Responsible for managerial oversight and operational effectiveness of a First Sentinel Bank branch office. Plans and administers daily branch operations and branch staffing, per Bank policy, to meet assigned Branch growth and quality goals. Development and service of personal loan portfolio and achievement of personal loan production goals, as well as branch loan and deposit portfolio growth goals.
Specific
Job Functions:
- Establishes deposit and sales/service goals for branch staff per assigned branch income, deposit and loan growth, and quality goals.
- Oversees branch operating and capital budgets, and reports/manages variances. Maintains an active role in the Bank’s annual budget planning process through the development of yearly branch budget.
- Exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning hiring, performance planning, coaching and performance improvement plans and reviews, and pay, promotion and termination recommendations.
- Manages staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Approve paid time off requests.
- Coaches, develops, and inspires staff to maximize their performance potential.
- Stays informed of and uses/enforces First Sentinel Bank customer service, loan and deposit, operational, security and safety policies and procedures.
- Oversees and directs the daily operations functions within the branch by determining workflow and assignments.
- Completes all required compliance and operational audits (cash drawer, vault, ATM, etc.) and reporting (overdrafts, loan/deposit pipelines, past due, etc.) per Bank policy and procedures.
- Conducts bi-weekly staff sales and service meetings to keep staff informed, prepared and engaged relative to sales/service delivery performance/goals/expectations.
- Manage all delivery channels to customers- loan applications, deposit opening/servicing, and teller servicing- to ensure service levels are maintained or exceeded.
- Manages customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.
- Models sales/service - an active Loan Officer, who also proactively cross-sells and or refers First Sentinel Bank’s products and services.
- Contacts customers and prospects regularly to establish or strengthen client relationships
- Represents First Sentinel Bank in public relations activities and community affairs. Serve as the bank representative in the community. Actively participate in community events and organizations.
- Actively engages in leadership development opportunities, both internally and externally.
- Thorough knowledge of all First Sentinel Bank deposit, small business, mortgage and consumer loan products.
- Knowledgeable and proficient in retail operations, customer service and consumer lending roles.
- Willingness to take on new responsibilities and roles as needed.
- Ability to analyze, underwrite and approve or decline loan requests.
- Sales/Service skills
- Knowledge of bank products and services, sufficient to identify and fill customer and prospect needs, conduct sales/service dialogue with customers and prospects, and/or refer quality business. - Knowledgeable of the local community-industries, economic base, culture, key leaders, competitors, etc.
- Sales/Service Leadership capabilities
- Sales management and coaching skills
- Good role model with motivational and/or training skills and abilities. - Ability to understand, implement and maintain Bank policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
