MARS Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician in Abingdon for a leading specialist manufacturer of superconducting scientific instrumentation. You will weld, fabricate and solder parts to build highly complex instrumentation, and must be able to read engineering drawings.
Typical duties include welding, soldering, assembly per drawings, leak testing with helium, occasional use of a manual lathe and mill, and identifying tooling to improve efficiency.
