Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical unit plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with various medical and surgical conditions. This position requires a valid RN license in the state of practice, along with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a similar setting. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Monitor patient progress, administer medications, perform treatments, and educate patients and families about their conditions and treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to enhance nursing practice.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
