Licensed Practical Nurse – Full‑time (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM, 3 days per week) – Abingdon Regional Jail – Abingdon, VA

As an LPN at our facility, you’ll play a hands‑on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers.

Some responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
• Providing wound care and changing dressings
• Supporting documentation and care planning
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients
• Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team

• Active unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
• 1‑2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred)
• Active CPR certification
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high‑pressure settings
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care
