Registered Nurse Travel RN

The Travel PRN RN provides nursing care to patients according to physician orders, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and nursing care plans.

$32.00 per hour – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Obtain medical history and assess the patient’s physical and emotional status, competency, home environment, safety factors, family/household member’s ability to assist and teaching needs.
• Serve as patient advocate by providing information on patient rights, grievance and reimbursement procedures, and patient/family responsibilities. Involve patient’s family in developing the Plan of Care.
• Participate in updating the interdisciplinary care plan every two weeks, including decisions for implementing interventions to attain goals.
• Supervise and direct care provided by the Hospice Aide/CNA and evaluate such care according to guidelines and regulations.
• Observe signs, symptoms and reactions to treatment, and inform the attending physician/PCC immediately of any changes.

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Experience in nursing required; experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and patient family teaching.
