With operations across Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, we’re continuing to grow — and we’re looking for a driven Business Development / Sales Executive to join our Commercial Sales Team in the Abingdon / Southwest Virginia region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, people‑focused professional who enjoys building relationships, meeting new clients, and creating long-term value. Industry experience is not required — our most successful team members come from backgrounds like hospitality, law enforcement, professional athletics, and door‑to‑door sales.
What You’ll DoAs a key member of our commercial sales team, you’ll help organizations maintain safe, efficient, and reliable HVAC systems by selling preventative maintenance service agreements. You will engage with a diverse mix of prospects including building owners, churches, schools, municipalities, industrial facilities, and retail businesses.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
✔ In‑Person Cold CallingActively prospect, visit, and engage potential clients throughout your territory.
✔ Relationship BuildingIdentify new opportunities while promoting Southern Air’s full range of service offerings.
✔ Goal AchievementMeet defined activity goals, develop proposals, and negotiate service contracts.
✔ Communication & Customer ServiceMaintain clear, responsive communication with internal teams and customers to ensure a seamless experience.
What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications:
- Residence within or near the Abingdon, VA sales territory
- Willingness to travel within roughly a 100‑mile radius
- Professionalism, positive attitude, and ability to thrive under deadlines
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
No HVAC or technical industry experience needed — we provide training.
