Job DutiesAbout the Position:
The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic in our Aviation Division in Abingdon, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Performing necessary repairs and maintenance to keep Department aircraft operationally ready.
- Assisting with inspections of Department aircraft.
- Managing aircraft records and instructions for continued airworthiness manuals.

Minimum QualificationsKnowledge of:
- Aircraft systems.
- Relevant equipment and procedures.
Skill in:
- The use of aircraft mechanic tools.
Ability to:
- Diagnose maintenance problems.
- Assist in performance of inspections as prescribed by FAA and the manufacturer.
- Maintain records and logs.
- Interpret and follow oral and written instructions.
