Hospitalist - Nocturnist

Position Overview

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Abington Hospital. This role involves working one week on/one week off and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule.

• Evaluate and admit patients from the Emergency Department (ED).
• Conduct night rounds and manage ongoing inpatient care.
• Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams—nursing, specialists, social work—to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
• Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.
