Prior surgical cardiac experience preferred. Periop 101 completion preferred.

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Patient‑and Family‑Centered Practice knowledge, including conveying respect and collaboration.
• Cultural awareness and ability to respect diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication skills and partnership language with patients and families.
• Patient assessment and care skills, including implementation of treatment plans.
• Patient and designated care partner education techniques.
• Medication administration and prescription knowledge.
• Discharge planning skills.
• Assessment and diagnosis using nursing tools.
• Health information documentation skills.
• BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse licensure in PA, NY, or NJ.

• Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion of BSN or appropriate advanced degree within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.
• One year previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher, and lateral transfers. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. May perform kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR.
