Job Summary
Responsible for the installation, repair, and performance of preventive maintenance for a wide range of mechanical equipment or building and construction facilities. Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles equipment and machinery. Makes periodic inspections of and maintains all equipment associated with supplying safety, lighting, plumbing, heating and ventilation, air conditioning, control systems and any other systems for which responsible.
Job Duties- Performs all urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems.
- Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on equipment and systems.
- Maintain and repair distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems and air compressors.
- Maintain and repair pneumatic equipment located in engine rooms, such as hot water converter, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps and all piping related to the function of this equipment.
- Make checks of all mechanical area equipment.
- Handle maintenance calls from the main office.
- Assist other trade maintenance technicians with more complicated repairs as needed.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; additional education and/or training required.
- 3 years of related experience required.
- Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
- Knowledge of safe practices in daily operations and effective maintenance and repair services for physical premises.
- Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment, ability to adapt as needed.
- Knowledge of and ability to use tools and techniques to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from an emergency.
- Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving technical (mechanical, electrical, systems or operational) problems.
- Knowledge of HSE policy, ability to implement HSE policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize practices, tools, and techniques for communicating with a customer.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; additional education and/or training required.
- 3 years of related experience required.
- Additional Qualifications.
- Lift over 50 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 140 lbs.
- Carry 80 lbs. short distances.
- Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
