Medical Transport Systems The Bus Aide will help students board the bus, depart from the bus, and arrive safely at their destination. Maintaining a safe environment for students and ensuring the Driver can focus on driving responsibilities are the most important tasks of the Bus Aide. We are seeking reliable and compassionate Student Monitors to transport special needs and handicapped students to and from school.
These positions ensure the safety and comfort of students during their commute, adhering to all safety protocols and providing assistance as needed.
Pay Rate & Benefits: $16.00 Per hour Payment:
Paid weekly via direct deposit.
- Aides are required to sit in the back of the vehicle with students.
- Load and unload students as required.
- Be knowledgeable and attentive to the unique needs of the students.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, students, and caregivers.
- Install and secure students in all approved child safety restraints.
- Learn the route to direct a substitute driver if needed.
- Attend all mandatory trainings.
- Address child safety and behavioral concerns while the vehicle is in motion.
- Assist students with special needs, including those in wheelchairs or with mobility challenges, in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Follow designated routes and schedules for timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers, using safety equipment and securing students when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication with school staff, parents, and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and report any issues for repair or maintenance.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, Child Abuse History Clearance and any required certifications per our School Districts High school or equivalent (Required).
- Monday - Friday (Only) Day Time Must Be Available to Work between 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM No Night / No Weekends or Major Holidays.
- Drivers will work two Shifts in per day (Split Shift/ Swing Shift) AM Shift: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM PM Shift: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM 6 - 8 Hours Per Day / 30 - 40 Hour Work Week Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week.
- Weekly pay via direct deposit.
- No Nights or Weekends, or Major Holidays.
