Overview
CN International is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to join our Abu Dhabi bureau on a fixed‑term contract for one year. Reporting to the Manager, CNNI Business Operations, this role supports broadcast news operations across the UAE, primarily based in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with global and regional partners, you will focus on ensuring financial operations run smoothly in a fast‑paced news environment, with additional responsibility for assisting with administrative and business operations.
YourRole Accountabilities
- Provide bureau accounting and administrative support, including document filing, reconciliations, contract management, office supplies, vehicle coordination and general office operations.
- Deliver accounts payable and expense management support by processing invoices, vendor setup, expense reports, cash advances and responding to related queries.
- Ensure all local business trade licences, filming permits, press cards, legal documentation and Chamber of Commerce bank guarantee letters are current and compliant, working with CNN/Warner Bros. Discovery teams and UAE authorities.
- Provide employee operational support including Concur assistance, travel booking support, and Humanity/Workday tracking.
- Prepare and coordinate NOCs, salary specification letters and other official documentation for government entities, banks, landlords, embassies and private organisations.
- Coordinate onboarding for employees, freelancers and interns, including visas, Emirates , medical insurance, relocation support and liaison with GPS and EMEA HR.
- Act as the office liaison with Two Four
54, Security and Maintenance, support PR and corporate events, and participate in out‑of‑hours or weekend call‑out rotas during breaking news.
- Previous involvement in finance coordination is essential, with practical knowledge of processing invoices, payments, reimbursements and expense reports.
- Experience of business operations and project‑based environments.
- Advanced understanding of UAE business practices and local customs.
- Exposure to coordinating corporate, cross‑functional projects.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with additional languages considered a plus.
