Position: Housing Officer - Aldar Education

The Housing Officer supports the delivery of housing services for employees, managing tenant-related requests, complaints, and accommodation matters while contributing to operational reporting and housing support activities under the guidance of the Housing Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • Contribute as part of the Housing Management Team to the organisation's objective of delivering high-quality, affordable housing and property management services.
  • Understand and manage the end-to-end housing process, including employee move-in and move-out, unit handovers, and coordination with the Operations team and property management companies, ensuring proper documentation and inspection are carried out.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Aldar Education employees on all housing-related enquiries and requests, providing a professional, caring, and cost-effective service.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to employees on housing policies, procedures, and entitlements in a clear and professional manner.
  • Liaise with relevant internal teams (P&C, Finance, Operations) and external parties (property managers, utility providers) to resolve housing matters efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all employee housing requests, unit assignments, and case updates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, guidance, and best practice relevant to Housing Management.
  • Carry out all duties in line with company policies, procedures, and recognised good practice.
  • Support a culture of Health & Safety and ensure all duties are undertaken with due regard to safety responsibilities.
  • Adopt a flexible, team-based approach to ensure a consistent, seamless service for employees and external colleagues.
  • Support effective communication and good working relationships across teams through meetings and other methods.
  • Provide required performance information and undertake additional duties as assigned.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Specific Duties:

Allocations and Tenancy Management

  • Manage and control void properties to minimize void times, meeting performance targets.
  • Allocate properties in accordance with the organization’s policies.
  • Process applications from new joiners and internal transfers.
  • Follow up and submit all necessary clearances.
  • Provide general advice and assistance to applicants regarding housing options.
  • Liaise with property management offices to ensure staff members receive appropriate support.
  • Issue Notices of Proceedings.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to policies and procedures when processing documentation.
  • Deal sensitively with cases requiring special attention.

Tenant and Community Support

  • Provide advice and guidance to tenant groups, panels, and other resident bodies to support their development.
