Librarian – Abu-Dhabi
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. This is a great opportunity for someone with no experience, who is eager to learn and take on new challenges.
Requirements:- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and library software
- Competency in cataloging library materials using Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress classification system
- We are ready to consider an immigrant for this position.
- Competitive salary of 1600 AED per month
- Comprehensive training program
- Cataloging books, magazines, newspapers, audio-visual material, electronic resources, etc.
- Classifying materials according to subject area and assigning call numbers
- Creating bibliographic records for library materials
- Maintaining records of library activities such as new acquisitions, circulation activities, etc.
- Assisting patrons with locating information resources using online catalogs and other reference tools
- Collecting overdue materials from patrons and issuing overdue notices as necessary
