Job Purpose:The Bancassurance Advisor will provide Bancassurance sales expertise to FAB’s Elite Banking Relationship Managers to help promote Bancassurance products and cross sell them to existing and new Elite Banking clients to help the segment achieve the set sales targets.
The Bancassurance Advisor will attend client meetings with the Relationship Managers to help promote the Bancassurance solutions and to provide technical product knowledge and market intelligence to the clients as well as to the Relationship Managers.
The Bancassurance Advisor will work closely with Relationship Managers, prospective clients and existing clients to ensure key deliverable services for the Bancassurance business including:
- Providing insurance and investment advice to help identify the protection and investment needs of the clients
- To build and maintain effective business relationship with the customers
- To review client portfolios to suggest top-ups or cross-sell opportunities
As part of the role, the Bancassurance Advisor will provide operational and administrative assistance to the Elite Banking Relationship Managers to help ensure smooth and efficient processing of the Bancassurance business internally and to meet the client expectations. The role also requires the implementation of various processes and procedures efficiencies as identified to help increase the productivity of the RMs with the sourcing of Bancassurance business.
Key Accountabilities:- Promoting Bancassurance solutions directly to the Elite Banking clients to achieve or exceed agreed Bancassurance sales targets in terms of net revenue
- Identifying client needs working for Bancassurance solutions working in conjunction with assigned Relationship Managers
- Providing Bancassurance knowledge, expertise and sales pitch techniques and other product trainings to the Relationship Manager to help bring them up the learning curve so they can eventually start self-sourcing of the Bancassurance business
- Building and maintaining effective business relationship with the customers
- Conducting reviews of existing client portfolios to suggest top-ups or cross-sell opportunities of insurance products
- Assisting in client meetings and presentations to the clients on FAB’s Bancassurance solutions
- Ensuring the submitted customer applications for Bancassurance by the Relationship Managers are of good quality, complete and error free
- Follow-up for documentation discrepancies with the clients for cases which are pending for issuance because of additional requirements or documents
- Ensure full compliance with the policies and procedures, rules and regulations of the Bancassurance business, FAB, and external regulatory framework.
- Working with the Bancassurance Product team to implement the training calendar to train the RMs
- Working with the Bancassurance Product team to help fill in the product gaps by recommending launching of new products and working with the product team to enhance the infrastructure and the operational workflow of the Bancassurance business
- Participating in all operational matters related to the Bancassurance business.
- Drive Bancassurance revenues and client penetration growth into insurance and protection products, working along with Area Managers, Team Leads and Relationship Managers as well as other stakeholders (Products, Banca Ops and external Bancassurance partners).
- At least 5 years of experience in the Bancassurance business ideally in a sales and distribution or advisory role
- In-depth knowledge of the UAE insurance market, the insurance products and sales pitch techniques
- CAN-DO attitude with the ability to operate independently under tight deadlines, and effectively manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance.
- Team player who work extremely well in building strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including: relationship managers, clients, team subordinates, peers and superiors.
- Possess strong communication skills and attention to details.
- Fluent in English, Arabic and other languages are highly appreciated.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or a related field.
