Demand and Inventory Planner
Job ObjectiveAssist the MES Supply Chain Manager in performing routine logistics activities, import/export activities, invoice preparation, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Demand Planning – Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts across drilling chemicals and equipment categories, collaborate with commercial, technical, and operations teams to align forecasts with project timelines, monitor consumption trends and historical data, and conduct periodic forecast accuracy reviews to drive improvements.
- Source Planning & Procurement Coordination – Identify and evaluate sourcing requirements based on forecasted needs, liaise with approved vendors for optimal lead times, pricing, and delivery performance, prepare sourcing plans with procurement and logistics teams, and manage temporary sourcing responsibilities until a dedicated sourcing resource is onboarded.
- Inventory Monitoring – Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock, maintain stock visibility and coordinate replenishment cycles, assess supplier performance in delivery accuracy, responsiveness, and compliance, and support operational readiness for new projects, including ADNOC-related operations.
- Analyse historical data and project pipelines to develop accurate demand forecasts for drilling chemicals and equipment.
- Align source planning with operational timelines, vendor capabilities, and project needs.
- Coordinate procurement requirements and optimize supplier performance.
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure supply continuity for ADNOC and regional projects.
- Knowledge of drilling consumables, chemicals, and equipment – highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills using Excel, ERP systems or planning tools.
- Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple planning priorities.
4–6 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in oil & gas or industrial chemicals.
Academic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
