We are recruiting a Procurement Officer to join our exceptional team at Royal Joinery and will be responsible for strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship building to support MEP, interior fit-out, and joinery projects. This role involves planning, executing, and optimising procurement processes to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services while maximising cost-efficiency.

The Procurement Officer is accountable for assisting in the planning, development and management of procurement arrangements.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and financial objectives.
- Conduct thorough supplier research, evaluation, and selection to establish a reliable supply chain.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Oversee the procurement lifecycle, from purchase order initiation to goods/service delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to enhance performance and collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to identify procurement opportunities.
- Manage inventory levels, predict material requirements, and optimise resource allocation.
- Coordinate logistics and delivery to minimise delays and disruptions.
- Prepare and analyse procurement reports to inform decision-making and identify cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budgetary guidelines, and procurement regulations.
- Provide procurement expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Material Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the joinery or interior fit-out industry in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of joinery, MEP and Interior fit-out materials, suppliers, and market trends in the UAE.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of UAE procurement laws and industry regulations.
