JOB DESCRIPTION

  • 1. Check AV equipment before event begins to ensure it is fully operational, and repair equipment when necessary.
  • 2. Assist guests/customers with ensuring the interface of audio, video, and projection devices in banquet and meeting rooms.
  • 3. Lock and secure equipment when not in use.
  • 4. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable.
  • 5. Break-down and remove equipment from meeting rooms promptly following event and return to secure storage location.
  • 6. Instruct guests/customers about proper usage and operation of AV equipment at each assigned event.
  • 7. Assist guests/customers with establishing an Internet connection in banquet and meeting rooms.
  • 8. Secure equipment to cart when transporting, taking care to protect both equipment and people from harm.
  • 9. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order before event begins to ensure that accuracy against flow sheets.
  • 10. Monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals during each assigned event.
  • 11. Perform preventive maintenance on AV equipment and materials, including changing bulbs and cleaning equipment as required.
  • 12. Label any broken equipment with a tag that includes a description of the problem and communicate problem to manager/supervisor.
  • 13. Communicate any additions or deletions to flow sheets to manager/supervisor and other departments as necessary.
  • 14. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms.
  • 15. Read, understand, and adhere to Visual Productions SOP book.
  • 16. Up-sell different AV services and products to customers.
  • 17. Maintain the racks and the Equipments properly.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Complies with the hotel’s rules and regulations.
  • 2. Checks and ensures that the jobs assigned have been effectively completed on the timely basis and according to the assignment and hotel’s expectation.
  • 3. Recommends corrective actions for unfavorable variances in job standards and budget commitment.
  • 4. Proposes and executes an effective duty to ensure sufficiency of manpower in accordance to volume of business.
  • 5. Establishes two-way communication within and related departments.
  • 6. Communicates effectively with guests, subordinates, immediate supervisors and other section heads.
  • 7. Attends daily briefing and departmental meetings as assigned by supervisor.
  • 8. Manages time effectively by meeting deadlines on time.
  • 9. Identifies and solves problems in a professional manner.
  • 10. Assists others to ensure the operation is run smoothly and effectively.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Knows, understands, and reviews the job description of all positions in the department and be able to perform the task as required.
  • 2. Knows and understands policies of the department well and can guide others to perform the job well.
  • 3. Recognizes and able to manage to maintain good quality products and presentation.
  • 4. Checks, reviews, and proposes service standards established by the company.
  • 5. Provides assistance to the other employees when required.
  • 6. Maintains self and all personnel’s grooming standards.
  • 7. Conserves energy and protects environment.
  • 8. Maintains the requisition point and par stock of products used in the department, spare parts, and engineering supplies.
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. Communicates effectively with guest, clients, business partners and staff.
  • 2. To be a good sales person to promote hotel’s image and businesses.
  • 3. Participates the company’s, hotel’s, and community projects or activities in order to promoting the hotel’s image and cooperation to improve community relationship.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 1. Minimum education of Sound engineering or Data communication and Transmission.
  • 2. Minimum of 1-2 years of repair & maintenance experience. Hand on experience with machines and equipments used in large building or Hotels is highly desirable.
  • 3. Good knowledge and understanding of machines and the preventive procedures.
  • 4. Have good English communication skills both in written and spoken.
  • 5. Computer literate.
  • 6. Posses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
