Health Safety Environment Officer
This role is designed for highly qualified and rigorous safety professionals who want to lead on-site compliance and risk management across major infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project execution teams to enforce stringent corporate and authority safety standards, manage comprehensive Permit to Work (PTW) systems, and ensure total compliance with regional regulatory frameworks.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the management team with:
- Hazard identification and comprehensive risk assessments
- Project safety planning and site inspection protocols
- Local utility authority regulation analysis
- Preparing HSE presentations and regulatory reports
- Research evolving health and safety codes, regional utility guidelines, and modern construction safety trends.
- Support the project management team in implementing proactive risk mitigation strategies and corporate safety initiatives.
One of the key responsibilities of this role is helping maintain our compliance network and strategic stakeholder alignment. You will assist the management team in:
- Coordinating with government inspectors, client auditors, and corporate partners
- Researching safety compliance benchmarks across roads, water, utilities, and pipeline sectors
- Initiating safety briefings and building a proactive compliance culture with subcontractors and site teams
- Assisting in securing and maintaining project safety approvals and client compliance clearances
- Coordinating authority safety inspections, close‑out follow‑ups, and audit discussions
- Supporting joint‑venture safety audits and unified site‑safety initiatives
- Exploring new training systems and site safety optimization opportunities
- Gain direct exposure to how high‑stakes regulatory approvals are secured, managed, and maintained within active, large‑scale infrastructure environments.
- Coordinate daily high-risk activities and internal safety workflows
- Assist in managing Permit to Work (PTW) timelines and critical deliverables
- Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) progress across multiple site fronts
- Support process improvement, excavation safety protocols, and operational efficiency
- Ensure smooth execution of corporate‑led health and safety policies.
Assists with:
- Internal safety awareness campaigns and content initiatives
- Toolbox talk schedules and subcontractor alignment initiatives
- Site safety award schemes and team collaborations
- Compliance outreach and subcontractor onboarding campaigns
- Incident reporting data extraction and safety growth experiments
- On‑site safety performance research and historical trend analysis
Work alongside project leads to understand how large-scale safety campaigns are planned, executed, and optimized across diverse work forces.
Reporting & AnalysisMaintain trackers and dashboards for:
- Active Permits to Work (PTW) and high-risk operations
- Near-miss reports and incident investigation outcomes
- Subcontractor safety compliance records
- Emergency drill results and safety training hours
- Operational KPIs and project HSE statistics
Assist in preparing monthly safety performance reports and corporate management updates.
