Enforce Abu Dhabi Free Zone (ADFZ) Rules & regulations within the Zone, ensure compliance by all companies, provides environmental, health, and safety expertise to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and local regulations and group policy, by leading the department and executing the mentoring role by identifying, evaluating and managing the risks that could encounter.
ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities:
- Ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as ADP Group policy.
- Ensure all National economic registry enquiries has been resolved
- Ensure the effective implementation of ADFZ Companies Registration Regulations, Business Licensing Regulations, Employment Regulations, Anti-Money Laundering Regulations
- Ensure the effective implementation of Security Regulations within the free zone
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across divisions, business units and support services, including IT, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Finance departments
- Monitor and manage various security risk incidents and related risk issues impacting the Free Zone Credibility.
- Understand risk profile and key business processes, and act as a catalyst for change wherever required
- Reviewing and challenging various business risk reporting, assessments, incidents, key risk indicators, projects and assurance activities
- Ensure Policies and Procedures are appropriately communicated to Business Units
- Plan inspection schedule for companies based on the Risk Based Approach
- Review, scrutinize and study records, data concerning suspicious transactions and notify the relevant Supervisory Authority
- Prevent attempts to smuggle goods by enforcing a strict compliance regime
Participate in regular meetings with the Government Authorities to ensure compliance with various regulations are implemented
People Management Responsibilities:
Supervise the FZ Risks and Control team and ensure the functions are carried out smoothly
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Liaise with various government authorities for various approvals
- Assist the Free Zone customers wherever required to enable interface between ADFZ & government entities to get necessary approvals
Educational and Technical
Qualifications:
- Degree (Business Administration or equivalent)
- Full command and knowledge of Free Zone Rules and Regulations
- Analytics & reporting skills
- Excellent Supervisory skills and IT knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English
