About the roleThe Senior Account Manager - Public Relations manages a large, complex and varied portfolio of client accounts and oversees the delivery of PR services in support of their brands. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage several large, key client accounts to meet their PR needs in line with agreed project plan and targets.
- Be the main point of contact for strategic PR advice, guidance, and issue resolution for designated clients, providing excellent client service.
- Develop creative, innovative, on-point PR plans and campaigns for designated clients based on extensive industry knowledge and deep PR
- Set project plans, delegate tasks to junior team members and oversee delivery according to project time frames and standards.
- Create, review, and edit press releases, pitch emails, interview briefings, social media content and other campaign materials prepared by self or junior team members, adapting style and tone according to target audience and media platform.
- Maintain and manage relationships with an extensive and varied range of journalists, influencers, and other key industry contacts, including hosting media entertainment.
- Oversee and participate in pitches by team members of press releases and feature ideas to journalists and influencers, across print, broadcast and online to interest them in covering clients’ stories.
- Respond to journalist inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Oversee and arrange for interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople and facilitate these meetings where appropriate.
- Oversee and arrange press launches and client events and provide direction to ensure smooth execution of events.
